Cookie policy
Last updated:
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use as few as we can and group them into three categories. Only the first is switched on without asking you.
Necessary
These keep the site working: remembering your login, protecting forms against misuse and storing the cookie choice you made. They can't be switched off, because the site doesn't function without them. Your choice itself is kept in local storage under the name punter_prefs_v1.
Statistics
Anonymous counts of which sections are read and where visitors leave. They help us fix pages that don't work. They're set only if you allow them.
Marketing
These record which advertising partner sent you to us, so the partner can be credited. Nothing is recorded unless you switch this category on.
Changing your choice
Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom of any page. It reopens the panel with your current choice, and changes apply from the next page you open. You can also clear cookies in your browser; the panel will then ask again.
How long they last
Session cookies end when you close the browser. Your consent choice lasts 12 months, after which we ask again.
